Ray Evans

Lives in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Studied at Manchester College of Art and Heatherleys in London. Elected to RCA 1998. His paintings explore familiar subjects, the townscape, landscape and foreshore, often the residents and fishermen going quietly about their business. There is a strong feel for colour and his natural feel for draughtsmanship, composition and design are ever present. The tonal control gives the paintings a restrained but joyous quality.
