NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS
Due to the impact of the pandemic and potential gallery closures, our annual membership application process may change at short notice.
Usually, artists may apply to become academicians in November each year, when application forms and guidance information are available on the website.
Artists are invited to submit 10 digital images of their work for consideration by members of the Council. If selected at this initial stage, artists will be invited to bring original works to be viewed at the following Annual General Meeting. All members present then vote on the work, with the artist requiring 50% of the vote to become an elected member.
There is no formal selection criteria, with artists being selected by peer review. There is a small administration charge which is non-refundable, unfortunately neither academicians or staff are able to give feedback.
