Led by artist Jess Bugler RCA, this workshop offers the chance to try the ancient Japanese art of Takuhon, the original 3D print. It was originally used to record carved religious inscriptions without damaging the surface.
Objects that would be impossible to put through a printing press are easy to print with Takuhon. Participants will learn how to make Tampo pads and then create 3D prints of a series of objects using fine Japanese paper and delicately dabbed Sumi ink.
