"The natural objects I use in my prints such as feathers, grass, worm casts, leaves, snake skin and seed heads, are usually found in the area of North Wales in which I live and work. They provide a means for me to engage and work with the landscape around me. I take direct impressions from these objects, building an image in layers, using a variety of relief and intaglio printmaking techniques.

Working closely with these natural objects makes me appreciate their individual characteristics and beauty, for instance, the twisting stems of Convolvulus, the texture of a leaf or the curve of a feather."
