ELECTED IN 2017
Born in Rotherham, South Yorkshire in 1952, David Bower has been painting in North Wales since 1965.
I am a painter, printmaker and sculptor, having developed my own independent focus using whatever means I feel best suited to drive the instinctive moment of fluidity or flux. Linking to this is the inescapable obsessive curiosity of the creator. I have always been at home within the arts, having drawn, painted and used my hands from a very early age. My work is now more studio based, though I still glean a great deal of inspiration from the world outside.
Over recent years I have developed numerous works in mixed media which can include watercolour, ink, acrylic, graphite, charcoal and chalk. I strive to express my love and feelings for the land and its inhabitants. I have many works in collections in the UK and abroad.
