Elected RCA 2013. Mihangel’s work is both subjective and conceptual in nature, expressed through a variety of media. Years of study drawing led to a fascination with the human form and Jones' own distinctive style of painting.
Colour was obsession, and his work involves layering to create intense, luminous colours. He always worked from life, mixing academic drawing with fantasy to challenge traditional views of figurative painting.
