STEPHEN PAGE

Elected Associate Member in 2025; Full Member 2026

Stephen Page’s sculptures have been exhibited widely across the UK, including with the Society of Wildlife Artists and the Royal Society of British Artists at London’s Mall Galleries, also at the selected exhibition of the Welsh National Eisteddfod at Pontypridd, and numerous private galleries and art fairs in the UK and internationally. His work is held in private collections across the UK, Europe, the United States and Asia. In 2025 he was elected as a full member of the Royal Cambrian Academy.

Working in bronze, Stephen’s sculptures are a tribute to the animal kingdom. His practice focuses on distilling the essence of each creature, reducing form to its most elemental shapes and lines while retaining a powerful sense of presence and character. While inspiration is drawn by observing animals from life as well as historical artefacts and ancient imagery, the sculptures reflect humanity’s long and evolving relationship with animals across cultures and millennia.

Each sculpture begins as a series of drawings and small models before being refined into a simplified form and cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax process. Produced in small editions and carefully hand-finished, the sculptures are patinated to create subtle variations in tone and surface, giving every piece its own unique character.

Stephen is a fine art graduate and hails originally from Dorset. He now lives in Mid Wales and is a fluent Welsh speaker.
