A few words from the artist:
'I passionately work with texture and use the shapes, rhythms and mood of the landscape as a reference for what is created on the canvas. I'm inspired by the story of wales, it's industrial heritage and outstanding natural beauty. I work with oils and watercolour inks and incorporate layers of plaster to give a raw palimpsestic quality. The painting process is a marriage between the fleeting nuances and the rooted impression of a landscape experienced, re-visited and conceived in relation to the landscape.'
