Our 138th Annual Summer Exhibition would have taken place this summer at the gallery in Conwy. Sales from this exhibition make a significant contribution to our finances. During the pandemic, this auction has been a way to raise funds in its place.
Due to the impact of Covid-19, and the gallery closure, our members are working hard to find other ways to keep our Academy alive. This is a challenging time for the RCA – an independent charity, reliant on artwork sales, workshops and donations – and for the staff, artists and community who rely on us. The proceeds from the auction will help us continue to maintain our building and create enjoyment of visual art in Wales through a vibrant exhibition and education programme.
