ELECTED IN 2003
"I live on a hill farm in the Cambrian mountains and the greatest influence on my work is the area where I live. It reflects my sense of place and belonging there within. The subject matter I choose to paint is also very important, an interaction between myself and the chosen subject matter isessential.
My desire to capture colour and form or a fleeting moment of light is ever present. Sometimes these things are completely beyond my control, due to the weather, the changing light or the passing of the seasons. But the spirit of a landscape so beautiful will always reveal itself, and the desire to capture it is always with me."
Ann is a past member of the RCA Council. She has exhibited in Wales since 1979 and her work is held in many private collections.
