Mae fy nheimladau i tuag at dirwedd yn gymaint o ymateb i gyflwyr y ddynol ryw ag ydynt i’r tirwedd ei hun. Mae cyfaredd ddwy-ochrog yn fy newis i lynu wrth y ddelwedd naturiol tra yn ymgodymu âr gyfrinach foesol guddiedig.Mae’r Gymraeg yn hen iaith hardd a rhamantus ac y mae’n hanfodol o’m diwylliant.Ar ôl ail - adrodd stori Blodeuwedd a chael sgyrsiau diddorol gyda'r diweddar Athro Gwyn Thomas; datblygodd delewddau'r arallfyd yn stori Blodeuwedd drwy amgyffred y teimladau a’r grymusterau ynddi - pethau sydd mor bwerus heddiw ag oeddynt yn yr Oesoedd Canol.
Fy themâu tragwyddol yw - cariad, colled, trawsnewid a dathlu. Fe welwch barhad o ddefnyddio metaffor ar themâu tragwyddol yn gyson fy ngwaith.Mae ‘r syniad o ddewiniaeth ac arallfyd Straeon y Mabinogi, imi yn cymharu â’r dewiniaeth ac arallfyd yn natblygiadau’r ugeinfed ganrif ar hugain ym mŷd AI. heddiw.

IT IS THE CONTAINER OF THE GERMINATION OF AN IDEA THAT GIVES FORM TO EMPTINESS AND MUSIC TO SILENCE.
Welsh is a beautiful and romantic language and imperative to my culture.Having spent my childhood on a farm, my feeling about the landscape is as much about the human condition as it is about the landscape itself.The fascination for me often lies in the double - edged intention to cling to the natural image whilst wrestling its moral secret from it. After re-reading the story of Blodeuwedd and having many inspirational talks with the late Professor Gwyn Thomas; many of these otherworld images flowered as a result of observing the emotions and forces within the story which are as potent today as they were in the Middle Ages.I continue to use metaphors to express many of these eternal themes of love, loss, transformation and celebration.The otherworldliness and magic found in The Tales of the Mabinogi and the 21st century research and development today share the same magic and ethereal otherworldliness of the eleventh century.
TRANSCENDING THE LITERAL MEANING IS THE CHALLENGE FOR ME.
