John studied at Camberwell School of Art, Byam Shaw School of Drawing
and Painting and the Central School of Art & Design. In 1985 he
moved from London to North Wales, where he worked as a practicing
artist, as well as lecturing at Bangor University and Coleg

sees in nature (tree growth and geology). Using oil paint and gold
leaf, working on organically shaped pieces of local native wood

John has researched techniques of Byzantine Icon painting and integrated some of these into his own practice. The arts council
