Born and living in the hills of Eryri she evokes the landscape around her in expressive paintings which convey a deep and heartfelt connection to the landscape they depict.
Having attended Liverpool College of Art but digressing in her career she has now returned to painting fulfilling a long held desire to become a full time artist.
Her painting practice starts with plein-air sketching in preparation for studio work. The paintings compose of energetic marks with layers of paint added and subtracted. Paintings emerge sometimes of a specific place, sometimes not but the source of inspiration comes from the sense of being rooted to the land.
