"My painting style has developed into an abstracted method of portraying the drama of the mountains and coast, using acrylic inks to create atmosphere and mood. Painting themes are selected from sketches and also memorised to find a contrast of tone and colour.
In this way they are subjected to intense experimentation with acrylic inks, being both transparent and inviolate by their nature. Therefore it becomes a perpetual creative process.
I am a fully qualified art teacher, teaching in schools and further education in the UK and in Sudan. I also developed outdoor sculpture and building projects involving schools in Bethesda and special education centres in Cwm y Glo, Caenarfon, and many other adult training centres in the area.
I have exhibited in Martin Tinney Gallery, Cardiff; NHS Cardiff and Vale; MOMA Wales; RCA Conwy, and with the RWSW; Gallerie Betws y Coed; Caerwys Gallery; Oriel Ger y Fenai; Oriel Mon, Anglesey; Mostyn Gallery, Llandudno.
