Published: 23.02.2023 ( a year ago )

In this illustrated lecture, Dr Ceri Thomas RCA explored and celebrated a collection of paintings by four fascinating artists born within nine years of each other. These artists are Joan Baker, Ogwyn Davies (former RCA member), Kyffin Williams (former RCA member) , and Ernest Zobole. Through their collective artworks, he will examine their differing interpretations of modern and contemporary Wales.

Dr Ceri Thomas RCA, a freelance artist, art historian, and curator based in south Wales, will lead the lecture. He has exhibited his work at esteemed venues such as the National Assembly for Wales, the National Eisteddfod of Wales, the National Library of Wales, and the National Museum of Wales, among others. He was also elected as a Royal Cambrian Academician, on the recommendation of Kyffin Williams. Ceri has researched extensively and written books, exhibition catalogs, and articles on numerous Welsh artists. He has also curated related exhibitions throughout Wales.
