Swansea's Glynn Vivian Art Gallery is proud to present the highly anticipated exhibition, 'Shaping Wales: Bell and Armistead,' from May 13 to November 12, 2023. Curated by Dr. Ceri Thomas RCA.

Featuring works by renowned RCA members Ogwyn Davies, Augustus John, Will Roberts, and Kyffin Williams.
The exhibition will shine a spotlight on the influential contributions of curators David Bell (1915-1959) and Kathleen Armistead (1902-1971) in shaping and nurturing Wales' contemporary art scene. Both Bell and Armistead played pivotal roles in promoting Welsh environmentalism, fostering Welsh and European modernism within the country
This exhibition serves as a precursor to the upcoming 'Shaping Wales: David Bell and the Welsh environment in art' exhibition scheduled for 2024 at the RCA.
