Born in Yorkshire, Dave has lived in Denbighshire since 1972. He studied at Rotherham School of Art; Sheffield College of Art; Cardiff College of
Art.
Dave's work is involved with colour and light. He prefers to work in oil - life size or larger when dealing with still life close-ups. He also paints his immediate environment - gardens, landscapes and beaches.
Since 2019, Dave gave up his studio because of eye problems, and painting became too difficult at the age of 86.
