Born Cambridge 1930, Iola lives in Wilmslow, Cheshire. She has painted in Wales since 1960. She studied at Bristol Art School; Nottingham Art School and the Slade School of Fine Art, London. Member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art.
Iola spends several months each year painting the landscape, buildings and beaches near Caernarfon. She specialises in oils, watercolour drawings and etching and is particularly interested in the effect of light on water.
