Ian was born in Leicester in 1969. He studied at Leicester Polytechnic of Art & Design.
'Early inspiration from Japanese woodcut artists led me to develop the method of linocut printing I now use. Through which I am exploring the drama and subtlety of the beautifully diverse Welsh landscape. Looking for colours, textures and strong patterns I aim for intricate simplicity with strong topographical accuracy.'
