Born in Colwyn Bay. Became an Associate Member of the RCA in 1976, and full Member in 1982. Resigned his membership in 1987 and was re-elected in 2001.

Sculptor and painter. Studied at Newport College of Art, 1969-72, after which he undertook a fellowship at the Maryland Institute, Baltimore, between 1972 and 1974. He taught sculpture at Sheffield Polytechnic, 1974-77, before returning to America in the late 1970s where he still lives at Provincetown, Massachusetts. He produces sculptural objects in wood and stone
