We welcomed over 220 people to the launch of the RCA Open Exhibition 2026. It was fantastic to see so many of the artists involved make the journey to Conwy from all over the country to see their work on the walls.
The quality of the works was very high indeed and it was an incredibly hard job for the judges to decide on a winner. There are a good number of highly commended works, but only one could prevail - and so the winner of the £500 prize is Adam De Ville, for his piece "Contemplating a move towards positivity".
Highly commended works:
Aisling McWilliam 'Crowded Inside' Wood Engraving
Amanda Webster 'When Light turns to Shade' Oil on Canvas
Suzanne Callen 'Resonance' Oil on Canvas
Paula Dunn 'Before the Edge of Wilderness' Oil on Canvas
Sisil Fernando 'Guide Dog' Acrylic on Canvas
Thank you to all who came along, and all those who entered.
