Artists connected to Wales are now invited to apply for membership of the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art, with digital submissions accepted throughout the year.
The Royal Cambrian Academy of Art is now welcoming applications from artists who were born in Wales, have a Welsh parent, have lived or worked in Wales for at least 12 months, or are able to read or write the Welsh language.
Membership applications begin with the digital stage, where artists are asked to send ten recent artworks in JPG format, along with an artist statement, CV, and administration fee. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to present work in person at the Academy’s Annual General Meeting, where election is decided by a vote of the membership.
Becoming a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art offers the opportunity to be part of a long-established community of artists connected to Wales and to contribute to the continuing story of Welsh art.
Full guidance on eligibility, application requirements, and how to apply can be found on the Become a Member page of the Royal Cambrian Academy website.
