"If a mind is like a railway station with trains of thought chugging in and out constantly, then the cargo of such in mine consists of memory, home, loves, wallpapers, flowers, perfumes and performers. From this plethora of images remembered, together with films, paintings and photographs I have seen, I usually select a few that move me to make into a painting. Out of thechurn of mind comes the very stillness of a painting that delights me. Its tranquility is its grace."
